Sunshine Cottage updated
9/30/02
I have been wishy about what to name this one. I think I like Sunshine better than Buttercup. It is my third quarter scale house.
These Ariondack chairs I made by my design.
The house is my own design also, using a small gift bag as the inspiration for its look.
Compare that to what I have so far.
My plans are to make it look as close as possible. The construction consists of matt board for the walls and roof. The trim at top is also matt board. The window dividers are made with needlework canvas that I cut to match. The door is also matt board and thin card added for dimension. The brick was purchased sheet that I painted. In the front I hope to cover completely as it is not in the bag picture.
Here is the inside so far.
The kitchen 3 piece set was a kit by Suzanne & Andrew's Miniatures. I purchased the twig chair and sofa from them also. I had to cut the sink to fit. The eyes on the stove were added from wire. I purchased the bathroom set from someone second hand so I don't know who made the kit. Some might recognize the BPF (brown plastic furniture) table and chairs aged to perfection. The hutch was a kit also. The two downstairs rugs were printies I made. I purchased the fruit bowl at a show.
Upstairs is sparse, just the bed and a trunk. The roof is too low so all my plans for other items have been squashed. The rug was a tote favor from the Quarter Connection 2002 convention.
For now the inside of this cottage is finished. So I will have to get busy with the landscaping.
Sorry no more photos, thanks for visiting. Come back soon.
